Since joining Pollart Miller, Ainslie has focused his practice on defense litigation, including workers’ compensation and liability matters, and criminal defense.
During law school, Ainslie served as Managing Editor of the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law. He also served as an Academic Success Program Mentor. He clerked at Stitzel, Page & Fletcher PC, assisting in the representation of Vermont municipalities. He also clerked in the South Royalton Legal Clinic with a focus towards helping indigent clients with immigration issues. Finally, Ainslie completed an externship with the Chittenden County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Upon graduating from law school, Ainslie gained experience by serving as a prosecutor in Windham County, Vermont. Ainslie then continued prosecuting in Colorado’s 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office,18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, and the newly formed 23rd Judicial District Attorney’s Office. During his time as a Deputy District Attorney, Ainslie sat first and second chair on numerous misdemeanor and felony jury trials, bench trials, and violation of probation hearings, as well as successfully argued countless motions and other pre-trial matters.
Ainslie is from California, born and raised in in between Los Angeles and San Bernardino. After finishing school in Vermont, Ainslie chose to move to Colorado and to be closer to family stationed at Fort Carson.
Ainslie enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two dogs. You can catch him backcountry skiing, rock climbing, and camping in below freezing temperatures. Ainslie also serves on the board of directors for his Homeowners Association.
