Powerful legislative changes are likely to be coming to a longstanding labor law in Colorado, which could change the process for organizing and empowering labor unions in our state. SB25-005, Colorado Labor Peace Act Updates, passed through the Colorado Senate on February 18, 2025.

The Colorado Division of Workers' Compensation announced changes to Rule 11 effective on April 1, 2025 to reduce process delays, provide consistent Division IME packets and ease the physician review process.

Under the Colorado's Workers' Compensation Rule 11 proposed changes, parties submit raw medical records to the Division. The Division has stated that the policy of this change is to reduce process delays, provide more consistent packets assembled with less effort and ease the physician review process.
