New Employment Law Pregnant Workers Fairness Act

The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act requires covered employers to provide reasonable accommodations to a qualified employee’s or job applicant’s known limitations related to, affected by, or arising out of pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions, unless the accommodation will cause the employer an “undue hardship.” The law applies to private employers with fifteen or more employees, as well as federal agencies, employment agencies and labor organizations.
