Originally from rural northern Wisconsin, Shelby grew up showing her horse and working for her parent’s insurance company. Her early exposure to the ‘behind the scenes’ of the insurance industry, she developed a unique perspective to her practice and legal strategy planning for her clients’ cases. While attending the University of New Mexico, she worked full-time as a Project Manager for a General Contracting Company, and as a Program Coordinator for the UNM Neurology Department. All of which she has been able to take that experience and bring a fresh perspective to cases dealing in either of those industries. She worked as a student research representative while in law school. As a research representative, she concentrated her efforts to develop legal research procedures and teaching others efficient and effective research skills which are paramount skills to utilize in cost-saving, effective legal practice.

She moved to Denver in the height of COVID. During her childhood, she enjoyed vacationing in Colorado with her family. They enjoy elk hunting and camping in the San Juan National Forest near Delores and Mancos together still to this day. Often, she’d spend weeks during the summer at Groundhog Vista near Mount Lone Cone. As an adult, she continues to explore all corners of Colorado through hiking, camping, skiing, golfing, horseback riding, and sightseeing.
